Poem: Little Turtle

Like a little turtle
Little by little
I forgot to question
To be excited about an unlived life

To be happy
About the little I know
And chained by what I should know

I forgot how to live
To dive
To fear
I forgot my being to become
To redefine
What has been defined for me

But it was a sentence
On my shell, and I couldn’t see it
“Life is a cast,
Recast it,
To let it outlive you”
